This work represents my own personal side project. Chune connects people through the music they like allowing them to find new music.
I am working closely with developers and developing myself to deliver the MVP. The app will be developed in React Native.
I am responsible for the apps UX/UI implementation. I conducted user interviews and research to better understand the needs of my users. All of my designs have been influenced by feedback from users.
These are the first wireframes I created for the application. Users explained that they thought this application was too complicated and they struggled with navigation around the application.
I needed to take a different approach. Guided by Lean UX principles I began removing all of the features/information that wasn't critical. This in turn allowed me to design a lean application servicing the users' needs by offering the value propositions of the business as soon as possible.
I tested my wireframes with users. I stripped away all the colours so that my users wouldn't be influenced by the designs. This allowed me to get authentic unbiased feedback
Phase 1 designs completed were sent to 100s of people for additional testing and user research. Users requested a more expansive app, they were looking for a more interactive app so I went back to the drawing board and looked into creating designs more in line with the social media apps winning in today's age.
I led a team of developers throughout the creation of the app and upon user feedback we began to implement new features like the above on the live BETA users have the ability to send and share music to individual users on the app or to share to all of their followers on the app creating a social music experience where users and like music and interact
Music player allows users to play other users music they've shared to the community on the application
Users have the ability to leave comments, like and chat on the applications creating a swift UX and clean UI
